Imagine a place where students don’t just dream about space—they create, build, and launch their own missions to explore it. Camp Integem’s new Space Engineering & Drone Exploration Program is changing how students approach STEM by giving them hands-on experience with real-world technology. This is more than just a space camp; it’s an engaging, supportive environment where students of all skill levels can come together to explore, build, and learn.
Why Space Exploration Matters
Space exploration fuels curiosity, stretches our understanding, and drives some of the most impactful technologies we use daily—from GPS systems to satellite communications. And as our need for space technology grows, so does the need for creative problem-solvers who can design, build, and program the next wave of innovations. Camp Integem is dedicated to helping young minds get there by learning through doing. Here, students go beyond observing—they participate in the adventure, designing and building their own projects, experiencing the real-world thrill of launching their creations into the sky.
Hands-On Learning That Empowers Every Student
At Camp Integem, we believe the best learning happens when students are fully engaged and actively creating. Too often, kids are limited to watching others do the work. Our program shifts that perspective by putting every student in the role of creator and explorer, encouraging both the curious beginner and the budding engineer. By working through real-world engineering projects—whether that’s building a drone from scratch or setting up a data-collecting server—students experience the power of making something of their own, learning as they build and problem-solve along the way.
A Space Program with Three Exciting Levels
Our program offers 1-week, 2-week, and 3-week sessions designed to match each student’s interest and pace of learning. With each week, students gain new skills, discover new concepts, and reach meaningful milestones that make learning feel fun, achievable, and exciting.
- 1-Week Program: Intro to Space & UAV (Drone) Engineering
This foundational program introduces students to the essentials of drone and space engineering. They’ll build and assemble their own UAV (drone) from scratch, learning how to put together, wire, and program their creation. Through hands-on learning, students experience how drones fly, test their coding skills, and launch their own projects. It’s a program that’s both approachable for newcomers and deeply engaging for those with a natural curiosity for flight. - 2-Week Program: Near-Space Engineering & UAV Exploration
For students ready to go further, this two-week session expands the journey into near-space exploration. Students refine their UAV skills, take on new programming challenges, and dive into high-altitude projects. They design and build solar-powered pico balloons that can soar into near-space, collecting atmospheric data that they can analyze and learn from. Students also build a LoRa gateway receiver server, creating a link between their balloons and Earth. It’s an inspiring hands-on experience in data collection and space communication that adds a new layer of achievement. - 3-Week Program: Advanced AI-Powered Space Engineering & Zero-Gravity UAVs
In the full three-week program, students move into AI-driven engineering and the world of zero-gravity UAVs. They design and program AI-powered drones to perform autonomous navigation and tackle real mission challenges. The experience is enhanced with zero-gravity UAVs that float, as they would in space, allowing students to explore how drones operate in weightless environments. By the end of the program, students apply all they’ve learned to complete an advanced mission, from building to programming to navigating, and finish with a functional, data-collecting UAV. It’s a program that combines engineering, coding, and problem-solving into an achievement students will carry forward.
